Knauf Roll & Spray Max is a ready-to-use, polymer-based interior filling compound, designed to quickly level walls and ceilings and prepare them for the final finish. It is ideal for new builds and renovation projects where an aesthetically pleasing, even finish without unnecessary touch-ups is required. It creates a smooth base that facilitates further finishing work.

Knauf Roll & Spray is ready-mixed, so it can be used straight away after opening, without the need for time-consuming mixing or adjusting the proportions. When applied by spraying, the product does not need to be mixed with water, which makes it easier to maintain a consistent consistency, ensure stable operation of the spray unit and maintain a steady application rate over larger areas. The compound „works” well on the substrate: it effectively fills minor defects, pores and craters, enabling a uniform, smooth surface to be achieved more quickly. Once dry, the layer remains easy to work with – sanding and finishing the details is a straightforward process.
When should you use Knauf Roll & Spray?
Knauf Roll & Spray Max is a good choice if you’re planning to:
- Full-surface smoothing of plaster and concrete – e.g. stable gypsum, lime and cement-lime plasters, as well as concrete surfaces,
- working with plasterboard – e.g. preparing walls for a smooth finish.
It is also suitable for renovating surfaces that have already been finished. It can be used on skirting boards, walls painted with paint, and surfaces finished with fibreglass wallpaper.
Application and processing
Knauf Roll & Spray can be applied by spraying with a finishing coat sprayer, by roller, or spot-by-spot with a hand trowel – depending on the application technique and the size of the surface. The material is applied in layers ranging from 0.1 to 5 mm thick, with the next layer only being applied once the previous one has dried. Once set, the substrate can be sanded with #180–#240 sandpaper, which makes it easier to refine details and achieve an even finish.
