What types of sound-absorbing plasterboard do we offer?

Our range includes tried-and-tested Knauf acoustic boards – ideal for creating quiet, comfortable interiors. Depending on your requirements, you can choose between a standard board or one with enhanced soundproofing performance.

Knauf Akustik Type A

Compared to a standard Knauf plasterboard panel, Knauf Akustik Type A improves the sound insulation of a partition by 6 dB, which means that sounds are up to half as audible. It is ideal for:

partition walls,

installation partitions,

attic conversions.

Knauf Akustik Plus

When used in a standard drywall system, it can improve sound insulation by as much as 12 dB – a difference you can really hear (or rather, not hear!).

This is a versatile solution, ideal for:

partition walls and pre-walls,

attic conversions,

the modernisation of solid masonry walls,

improving the thermal insulation of concrete and timber floors,

creating new, quiet rooms within existing spaces.

Plasterboard panels with holes that effectively absorb sound

We also offer Knauf Cleaneo Akustik SK perforated plasterboard, which meets the requirements of the EN 14190 standard. These are specialised solutions designed to absorb sound and improve acoustic conditions in rooms. Not only do they offer sound-absorbing properties, but they also help to purify the air, which improves the indoor environment – this is particularly important in places such as classrooms, offices, hotels and healthcare facilities. 

Impregnated acoustic panels – protection against damp and noise

We recommend Akustik impregnated boards, which combine sound-absorbing properties with moisture resistance. They feature a special resilient gypsum core, which enhances the acoustic insulation of the partition. They are easy to work with, non-combustible and allow for the creation of curved elements, offering greater design freedom.
