Product description
Knauf Katja Sprint is a self-adhesive sealing tape made from polymer-modified bitumen, designed to create watertight joints in flooring systems. Thanks to its design, it provides long-lasting protection against moisture and water vapour. The tape is used to seal joints between membranes and other building components, effectively insulating surfaces exposed to water.

How and for what purposes should it be used?
Knauf sealing tape is designed for sealing the joints between strips of Katja Sprint membrane and for joining the membrane to vertical building elements. How should it be used?
- Make sure the surface is clean and smooth, free from dirt and sharp irregularities.
- Remove the protective film from the tape to reveal the adhesive side.
- Apply the tape to the joint between the membrane and the surface, pressing it firmly to create a watertight seal.
- If necessary, adjust the position of the tape to ensure a proper seal.
- In cold weather, use a heat gun to speed up the bonding process.
- Stick the tape to the clean wall insulation membrane using Katja Sprint connecting strips.
- Apply the tape at a temperature above +5°C to ensure the best quality of the joints.
