KNAUF DIAMANT BOARD

Knauf’s Diamant board is a plasterboard product characterised by significantly greater resistance to impact and other mechanical damage than other products of this type. It is also fire-resistant, providing additional surface protection. It is ideal for rooms with high humidity levels and is therefore suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms. It features a KRAK edge – a flattened, semi-circular edge that makes it easier to join the boards, ensures a smooth transition between them and minimises the visibility of the joints.

Properties of Knauf Diamant plasterboard:

• very good core integrity of the board under fire conditions – increased fire resistance contributes to the safety of the structure;
• gypsum core reinforced with glass fibre – improves the panel’s durability and its resistance to deformation and cracking;
• non-flammable – complies with safety standards regarding fire resistance;
• high surface hardness – impact- and scratch-resistant, recommended for high-traffic areas;
• increased point load – allows heavier items, such as shelves or handles, to be fitted without the need for additional reinforcement;
• excellent sound insulation properties against airborne noise – effectively dampens noise, improving the acoustic comfort of rooms.

What is it used for?

Knauf Diamant boards are used as a reinforcing element in timber structures – including for stiffening timber-framed walls and roof trusses. It is also used as cladding in drywall systems, in areas with higher technical requirements. It is ideal wherever the following are essential: high fire resistance, effective sound insulation, resistance to mechanical loads, rigidity of the entire structure and enhanced resistance to moisture.
