How do you prepare and apply Knauf Deco Design plaster?

Before application, the substrate must be sound, dry, clean and free from dust, oil or bitumen. Surfaces reinforced with fibreglass mesh, or concrete and cement-lime plasters (moisture content ≤ 4%), must first be primed with Knauf Putzgrund in a matching colour.

The contents of the bucket must be thoroughly mixed before use — it is particularly important to use material from the same production batch number to avoid colour variations. Apply the mixture evenly with a steel trowel to the thickness of a grain, then smooth it in a single, consistent direction. Work should be carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C, in dry conditions and away from surfaces exposed to strong sunlight. Freshly applied render must be protected from rain until it has fully set.
