Product description
Knauf K2 Gel is a flexible tile adhesive based on grey cement, a polymer dispersion, natural mineral aggregates and modern modifying additives. It is characterised by high adhesion, reduced sagging and an extended open time. The product meets the requirements of the PN-EN 12004 standard for Class C2 TE adhesives, and holds a Hygiene Certificate and a Declaration of Performance. The adhesive is designed for fixing large-format tiles – up to a size of 120 × 120 cm. It can be prepared to any consistency, depending on the application requirements. During installation, there is no undesirable „sucking-in” effect on the tiles, which ensures precise and stable fixing.
Properties of Knauf K2 tile adhesive:
- suitable for indoor and outdoor use;
- easy to apply and prepare – no lumps;
- multi-purpose – can be prepared in three different consistencies (standard, semi-liquid and liquid);
- stable and easy to use, even with large formats;
- economical to run, ideal for larger areas;
- the ability to apply a layer with a thickness of between 2 and 15 mm;
- suitable for porcelain stoneware, clinker or concrete tiles;
- works well on various substrates: concrete, plaster and plasterboard;
- can be used on waterproofing layers and with underfloor and wall heating;
- ideal for use on outdoor surfaces: balconies, terraces and steps;
- also suitable for difficult substrates, including „tile-on-tile” installation.
