Product description
Knauf K 600 is a special cement-based mortar designed for fixing white, graphite and XPS polystyrene thermal insulation boards. It is suitable for creating a reinforcing layer in external thermal insulation systems in conjunction with fibreglass mesh. Coverage: approx. 4 kg/m². The product is packed on a KN-WO pallet.
Knauf adhesive for polystyrene and mesh. Properties
When developing its mesh-embedding adhesive, Knauf prioritised its flexibility and high vapour permeability, making it a binder that is resistant to external factors. Furthermore, the white K 600 mesh adhesive is frost- and water-resistant. It is easy to apply and highly economical. Its price in our shop is truly attractive – buy now to enjoy a cost-effective solution for fixing mesh and polystyrene.

Storage
Knauf K 600 mesh embedding adhesive should be stored on pallets, in dry conditions, in its original, undamaged packaging. The maximum storage period is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
How do you correctly apply a reinforcement layer using Knauf K 600 frost-resistant mesh adhesive?
Work should begin with the thorough preparation of the insulation, filling in any gaps between the panels and levelling out any unevenness to achieve a uniform surface. In the next stage, critical areas such as window and door corners are reinforced by fitting protective profiles and bonding additional strips of mesh at a 45° angle, which reduce stress in the areas around openings. You can then proceed to apply the mortar – Knauf K 600 adhesive is spread evenly with a notched trowel, creating a layer that allows the mesh to be fully embedded. The reinforcing material should be pressed into the fresh mortar, with an overlap of at least 10 cm to ensure the continuity of the reinforcement. Once the mesh has been embedded, the whole surface is covered with a second layer of mortar, resulting in a final thickness of approximately 3–4 mm. A carefully applied reinforcement layer guarantees adequate mechanical strength and the durability of the entire external thermal insulation system.
