Product description

Knauf Insulation NatuRoll 0.042 – a versatile mineral wool for insulating roofs, walls and ceilings

Knauf Insulation NatuRoll 0.042 is a mineral wool mat designed for thermal and acoustic insulation in residential and non-residential buildings. Thermal conductivity coefficient λD = 0.042 W/mK and technology ECOSE® make the product an economical and tried-and-tested solution for a wide range of applications. The material adapts well to the spaces it is used to insulate, retains its dimensional stability and allows for quick installation.

ECOSE® technology – environmentally friendly production

NatuRoll 0.042 is manufactured using ECOSE® technology, which is based on natural, rapidly renewable raw materials. No formaldehyde, phenols, acrylics or artificial colourants are used in the production process, and the technology itself consumes up to 70% less energy than traditional methods of mineral wool production.

The safety of the material is confirmed by the DECLARE certificate, the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), the CE marking and a certificate from the National Institute of Hygiene.

Application of NatuRoll 0.042

NatuRoll 0.042 is used both in new construction projects and when refurbishing existing buildings. The product is designed for the insulation of:

  • pitched roofs between and beneath the rafters,
  • layers beneath the rafters in multi-layer systems,
  • frame walls,
  • floors and ceilings on joists,
  • partition walls where sound insulation needs to be improved.

Thanks to the range of thicknesses available 50 mm and 100 mm The mat works perfectly as an additional layer of insulation or as standalone insulation, depending on the project.

The key benefits of NatuRoll 0.042

NatuRoll 0.042 has been designed with the convenience of installers and the durability of the entire partition in mind.

  • It effectively reduces heat loss and improves the acoustic comfort of rooms.
  • Fire reaction class A1 ensures the highest level of fire safety.
  • It retains its shape and does not settle during use.
  • Once unpacked, it quickly returns to its nominal thickness, reducing installation time.
  • The compact rolls make them easy to transport and store.
  • The material can be fitted efficiently, without the need for additional lacing.

Technical specifications

NatuRoll 0.042 mineral wool has a thermal conductivity coefficient of λD = 0.042 W/mK, thereby effectively improving the thermal insulation of building partitions. The product has a thickness tolerance class of T1, a fire reaction class of A1, a diffusion resistance coefficient of μ = 1, and its tensile strength exceeds twice its own weight.

The product is available in two versions:

  • 50 mm – thermal resistance R = 1.15 m²K/W,
  • 100 mm – thermal resistance R = 2.35 m²K/W.

The mats are 1,200 mm wide, and the products are supplied in compressed rolls, with 24 pieces per pallet.
